Eureka MCI Mignon Programmable Doserless Espresso Coffee Grinder - Black
-
Stepless micrometrical adjustment: Allows for precise adjustments to the grind setting. Dial is located on the top left of the grinder underneath the bean hopper. Turn clockwise for a finer grind and counter clockwise for a coarser grind.
-
Adjustable fork: Distance from top of fork to coffee chute is approximately 2.25". It can be moved down approximately 0.375" to accommodate different size portafilters or removed completely to put a container.
-
Optimally sized bean hopper: Holds approximately 8 ounces of roasted beans for plenty of espresso shots. Ergonomically design to keep the overall height low and not to stick out beyond the rest of the grinder. A set screw holds the hopper in place as opposed to other grinders which are friction fit. It is also equipped with a stopper if you want to remove the hopper with the beans in it, and a finger guard...just in case.
-
Easy controls: Located on the right of the grinder. The large switch turns the grinder on. The button on the lower right switches the grinder from semi-automatic (pushed out) to timer (pushed in). The knob on the lower left adjusts the amount of time the grinder will run. Turn clockwise to increase time and counter clockwise to decrease time. Push the pressure plate in front of the grinder underneath the coffee chute to start grinding!
Details and Specifications:
-
Changing grind settings: As with all coffee grinders, it is very important to only change grind settings when the unit is powered on and the burrs are in motion. If you do not do this, the burrs will 'gunk' up and require cleaning by you every time this occurs. Changing the grind settings when the burrs are not in motion will render the grinder to only produce very coarse grinds or no grinds at all. If this result occurs, this will be considered operator error for lack of following directions, and not be classified as a defective grinder.
-
Grinding for multiple brew methods: This is an espresso only coffee grinder as other coffee brew methods will require the stepless knob to be turned hundreds of rotations.
-
Motor not turning on: If the motor doesn't turn on, try taking the grinder to a coarser setting.
